Following the passing of Her Excellency Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on December 30 (local time), Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan extended her message of condolences to H.E. Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to express sincere condolences and pay tribute to H.E. Begum Khaleda Zia for her endeavors which built the foundation for the development of Japan-Bangladesh relations for today.
