Visit to Ishikawa Prefecture for a Site Visit on Recovery and Reconstruction Efforts Following the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and Heavy Rains

On December 7, 2025, Prime Minister Takaichi visited Ishikawa Prefecture for a site visit on recovery and reconstruction efforts following the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and the heavy rains.
After offering flowers and observing a moment of silence at Noto Airport in Wajima City, the Prime Minister observed the landslide site in Otani Town, Suzu City, and then visited the emergency temporary housing in the same city.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister conducted a site visit to the earthquake-related fire site on Asaichi Street in Wajima City, followed by a visit to the Anamizu Smile Marche in Anamizu Town for an exchange of views. She then conducted a site visit to the Wakura Onsen area in Nanao City.
Lastly, the Prime Minister received a written request from Governor HASE Hiroshi of Ishikawa Prefecture and spoke to the press on the day’s visit.
