Due to the indication of a suspected case of avian influenza in Hokkaido, the Prime Minister has instructed the following four points (October 21, 2025, 16:35).

In case that a bird is suspected to be infected with avian influenza, expeditiously implement thorough quarantine measures, with the relevant ministry and agencies, in particular, the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, closely coordinating with each other.

Request poultry farmers to maintain strict vigilance and provide them with appropriate guidance and support regarding preventive measures.
