On September 11, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba attended the 44th Memorial Service for Firefighters Who Lost Their Lives on Duty held in Tokyo.
The Memorial Service aims to pay profound respect and heartfelt gratitude to the souls of firefighters across the nation who, while carrying out their noble duty of firefighting and disaster prevention, unfortunately lost their lives in the line of duty. It has been held annually since 1982 and this year marks the 44th memorial service.
