On August 22, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), held in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Prime Minister Ishiba held meetings with H.E. Mr. Daniel Francisco CHAPO, President of the Republic of Mozambique; H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Rt. Hon. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia; and H. E. Mr. Robert Beugré MAMBE, Prime Minister, Head of Government, Minister of Sports and Living Environment, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, respectively.
Afterwards, he attended the Closing Ceremony and the Joint Press Conference, and lastly held a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, Head of Government of the Republic of Tunisia.
