On June 23, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba attended the Memorial Ceremony to Commemorate the Fallen on the 80th Anniversary of the End of the Battle of Okinawa.
Prime Minister Ishiba offered flowers at the National War Dead Peace Mausoleum in the Peace Memorial Park and at the Tower of Shimamori, followed by a minute of silence at noon to honor those who lost their lives during the battle at the memorial service. He then offered a flower and delivered a memorial address.
Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister laid flowers at the Himeyuri Monument and visited the Himeyuri Peace Museum. Lastly, he spoke to the press regarding the Memorial Ceremony to Commemorate the Fallen on the 80th Anniversary of the End of the Battle of Okinawa and other matters.
