Visit to Gunma Prefecture

On June 7, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba visited Gunma Prefecture.
After visiting a local exchange center (JINS PARK) in Maebashi City, the Prime Minister visited an accommodation facility (SHIROIYA HOTEL), the Babakkawa-dori street, and the Chuo-dori street, observed public-private community-building efforts to revitalize and create new values to the local community, and held an exchange of views with private-sector volunteers (Taiyo no Kai and the Maebashi Design Commission) who continue to take on the challenge of community building. He then visited the Benten-dori street, Taiyo no Kane (Bell of the Sun), a facility that combines arts and living spaces (Maebashi Galleria), and Arts Maebashi, respectively, and held an exchange of views on education and digital issues toward the creation of regions chosen by young people and the retention of human resources. Afterwards, the Prime Minister spoke to the press regarding his visit to Gunma Prefecture and other matters. Finally, he visited a facility to develop digital creative human resources (TUMO Gunma) at G MESSE GUNMA in Takasaki City.
