On May 26, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba held the sixth meeting of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy in 2025 at the Prime Minister’s Office.
At the meeting, the participants engaged in discussions on priority issues regarding the declining birthrate, social security, and education, macroeconomic management (intensive deliberations on monetary policy, prices, and related issues), and a draft Basic Policy on Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform.
