On May 18, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba visited Ibaraki Prefecture.

The Prime Minister observed a quantum computer and other equipment at the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI technology (G-QuAT) of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in the City of Tsukuba, followed by a small group talk with people concerned. Afterwards, the Prime Minister attended the inauguration ceremony of G-QuAT and delivered an address. Finally, he spoke to the press regarding his visit to Ibaraki Prefecture.
