On April 13, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba visited Hyogo Prefecture.
The Prime Minister held a small group talk with business operators subject to the impact of U.S. tariff measures (Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. and its suppliers) in Kobe City. He then visited the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake “Memorial and Reconstruction Monument” in Kobe East Park and offered flowers, followed by a visit to the “1.17 The Light of Hope.” After that, he observed a coworking space with a kids’ space and temporary childcare service available at the Kobe City Gender Equality Promotion Center “A-Step KOBE,” received a briefing on an overview of its initiatives, and held a small group talk with those engaged in the launch of new businesses by young people and women as well as active engagement of and work style reforms for women. Finally, he spoke to the press regarding the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, his visit to Hyogo Prefecture, and other matters.
