On July 6, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, who was announced as the winner of the presidential runoff election held in Iran on July 5 (local time). Prime Minister Kishida extended his congratulations and expressed his hope that Iran will play a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East region and that Iran will advance cooperation with the international community, and stated that he seeks to closely cooperate with President-elect Pezeshkian.
