Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister Kishida to H.E. Dr. Gitanas Nausėda, President-elect of the Republic of Lithuania

On June 27, following the election of the President of the Republic of Lithuania which was held on May 26, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Dr. Gitanas Nausėda, the incumbent candidate, on his re-election as the President.
In the letter, noting the deepening bilateral relationship under the strategic partnership, Prime Minister Kishida conveyed his willingness to work closely with Lithuania in maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law. He also expressed his intention to cooperate with the President to further strengthen bilateral relationship and promote joint efforts in the international arena.
