Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister KISHIDA to H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb, President-elect of the Republic of Finland

On February 13, following the run-off election of the President of the Republic of Finland which was held on February 11, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb on his election as the Presiden-elect. 

In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida extended his congratulations to President-elect Stubb, and noting the deepening bilateral relationship, he conveyed his willingness to work together to further strengthen relations with the Nordic countries under Japan’s Nordic Diplomacy Initiative. He also expressed his intention to further deepen cooperation with Finland in maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law, including the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific."
