Video Message by Prime Minister Kishida at the IEA 2024 Ministerial Meeting

I am KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan.
 
I wish to express my sincere congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the IEA.
 
Ever since its foundation in response to the oil crisis, the IEA has been contributing significantly to stabilizing the global supply of energy.
 
Today, we must work hand in hand to overcome the challenges of “achieving decarbonization and economic growth simultaneously, while also ensuring energy security”.
 
I look forward to further contribution from the IEA, with energy security as its core mission, toward the realization of orderly energy transitions through various pathways.
 
Japan will continue to work together with the IEA.
