Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister KISHIDA to Prime Minister Frieden of Luxembourg

On 28 November, following the appointment of H.E. Mr. Luc FRIEDEN, Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister Frieden.

  1. In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida congratulated Prime Minister Frieden on his appointment. Prime Mininster Kishida, touching upon the importance of cooperation toward the realization of a “free and open Indo-Pacific” and strengthening cooperation through the EU, NATO, and other organizations, expressed his desire to work closely with Prime Minister Frieden and to contribute to maintaining and strengthening of the free and open international order based on the rule of law, including in response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, with the growing recognition among like-minded countries that the security of Euro-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific is inseparable.
  2. Furthermore, Prime Minister Kishida stated that he welcomed the continued good bilateral relations in various areas, including economic relations, especially in the space, financial, and pharmaceutical sectors, and conveyed his intention to work closely with Prime Minister Frieden to further strengthen the Japan-Luxembourg relations.
