Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister Kishida to President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

On March 6, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Mr. Vo Van Thuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam following his appointment on March 2, 2023.
In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida conveyed that the two countries have established close cooperation in various areas over the past 50 years and that he hoped to elevate the bilateral relations to a higher level, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Viet Nam and the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in 2023.
