On June 14, commencing at 12:25 p.m. (local time; June 14, 7:25 p.m. Japan time), for approximately 5 minutes, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, who is visiting Italian Republic to attend the G7 Apulia Summit, had a brief informal talk with the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America. The overview of the informal talk is as follows.

1. Prime Minister Kishida expressed his gratitude to President Biden and Dr. Biden for their hospitality during his official visit to the U.S. in April. He also conveyed his intention to continue working together to implement the outcomes of the Summit Meeting.

2. In response, President Biden expressed his intention to continue working closely with Prime Minister Kishida, whom he considers a good friend and trusts.
