On May 1, commencing at 1:30 p.m. local time (10:30 p.m. on May 1, JST) for approximately 60 minutes, Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, visiting Ghana, held a lunch meeting with members of Japanese companies in Ghana.
Ghana is one of the leading economic centers in West Africa, realizing stable democracy, and has a market with great potential. In this context, Prime Minister Kishida exchanged views with members of local Japanese companies on a way to further develop the Ghana-Japan economic relationship in the future.
On the same day, commencing at 3:30 p.m. local time (0:30 a.m. on May 2, JST) for approximately 20 minutes, Prime Minister Kishida also received a courtesy call by JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers and young entrepreneurs working in Ghana. Prime Minister Kishida encouraged these young people who are rooted in the local community with the Japanese viewpoints and are engaged in thoughtful cooperation and projects from Japanese perspective, and also listened to their activities.
