Prime Minister Kishida's Roundtable with Japanese Residents in Australia

On October 22, commencing at 6:30 p.m. (local time; 7:30 p.m. on October 22 JST) for approximately 70 minutes, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, who is visiting Perth, Australia, held a roundtable with Japanese residents representing various areas such as local Japanese associations, business and culture.
 
At the outset, Prime Minister Kishida stated that the unparalleled good relationship between Japan and Australia is based on the people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, including business, culture, study abroad, and tourism. Prime Minister Kishida also stated that he is keen to hear opinions on the future Japan-Australia relationship from participants working in Australia. Participants expressed various views toward further development of the Japan-Australia relationship based on their experiences.
