- Maintain vigilance in retaining a state of alert and readiness towards disaster damages as there are few cases of typhoons making landfall on the Pacific coastside of the Tohoku region, and as there may be areas along the Sea of Japan coastside as well where the ground has become loose due to heavy rain in the past weeks.
- Provide timely and accurate information to the public regarding evacuations and the state of the heavy rain and regional rivers, etc., and take thorough measures to assist evacuation of residents, etc. in close coodination with local governments.
- In case of damages, expeditiously assess the state of affairs and, under the principle of prioritizing human life above all else, spare no effort in emergency disaster responses with the Government working as one.
