Visit to Brazil: First Day

On May 2, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida visited Brasilia in the Federative Republic of Brazil.
 
The following day, on May 3 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida exchanged with Nikkei (Japanese immigrants and descendants) representatives and attended the welcome ceremony, before holding a summit meeting with H.E. Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The Prime Minister then held a signing ceremony of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and a joint press conference.
