On December 26, 2023, Prime Minister Kishida held the joint session of the 18th meeting of the Council for Promotion of Regulatory Reform and the 61st meeting of the Council on National Strategic Special Zones at the Prime Minister’s Office.
 
At the meeting, the participants engaged in discussions on a draft of a midterm report on the promotion of regulatory reforms, certification of special zone plans and other matters.
