Prime Minister Kishida's Attendance at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) : Second Day

On December 2, 2023 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida, who is visiting Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to attend the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

Afterwards, Prime Minister Kishida held a Japan-Jordan Summit Meeting (working lunch) with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, before holding a press conference on attending COP28 and on other matters. The Prime Minister then held a Japan-Italy Summit Meeting with H.E. Ms. Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, attended "Action to Zero led by Japan and UAE", observed corporate booths, and delivered a speech.
