On November 5, 2022, Prime Minister Kishida attended the FY2022 Memorial Service for Members of the Self-Defense Forces (SDF) Who Lost Their Lives on Duty, held at the Ministry of Defense.
 
The Prime Minister offered a silent prayer and delivered a memorial address, followed by the offering of flowers.
