I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. MANABE Syukuro for being awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics.
Dr. Manabe has been highly recognized as a pioneer in the research into global warming. As a Japanese, I am very proud of him making major contributions to humankind. I intend to express my congratulations to him in person, but we are still coordinating the schedule.
