H.E. Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan on April 4^th and 5^th. During Prime Minister Al-Abadi’s visit, Prime Minister Abe is scheduled to hold a summit meeting with him and host a dinner. On April 5^th, the Tokyo Conference on Supporting Job Creation and Vocational Training to Facilitate Weapons Reduction for Iraqi Society will be held with Prime Minister Al-Abadi and Prime Minister Abe in attendance. Japan will host this conference and support efforts for weapons collection by Iraq itself. Through this visit to Japan by Prime Minister Al-Abadi, we will further deepen our friendly relations between Japan and Iraq, which are welcoming the 80^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2019.
