REPORTER: Ms. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States and President Trump’s eldest daughter, is due to arrive in Japan on November 2 and give a speech at the World Assembly for Women (WAW! 2017)  organized by the Government on November 3. Could you tell us the aim and expectations of the Government in inviting Ms. Trump?

CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY SUGA: Firstly, invited by Prime Minister Abe, Ms. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States, is scheduled to attend a special event, where she will give a keynote speech about the participation of women in economic fields as well as women and entrepreneurship. Ms. Trump is actively engaged in various initiatives to support female entrepreneurs and promote the empowerment of women, and as one of the most recognized people in the world today her activities are highly evaluated. The Government has high hopes that Ms. Trump’s participation in WAW! will lead to meaningful discussions in the conference.
