Opening Statement by Chief Cabinet Secretary Fujimura

• The 31st meeting of the Information Security Policy Council

CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY FUJIMURA: Today from 5:30 pm, the 31st meeting of the Information Security Policy Council will be held. Given the situation in which information security threats are rapidly becoming more advanced and complex, the meeting today is scheduled to discuss the ideal format for future international efforts. This is based on the recognition that it is imperative for countries to join together in effective collaboration to ensure that we may enjoy the benefits of cyberspace and also respond to issues of national security and crisis management. The results of the meeting will be reported in a briefing by the National Information Security Center to be held in the Cabinet Office Annex Building.
