Opening Statement by Chief Cabinet Secretary Fujimura
CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY FUJIMURA: "The Debriefing Session by returned members of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV)" hosted by Prime Minister Noda will be held from 1800 to 1900 today (Tuesday, June 2) at the Prime Minister's Office.
At the session, the representative of returned members of JOVC will report on their activities on site as well as the activities they engaged in after returning to Japan giving back something of their volunteer experiences to the local communities.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Koichiro Gemba as well as myself (Chief Cabinet Secretary) will attend the session.
It is an occasion to appreciate returned members for their services while directly hearing opinions from them. It also serves as a meaningful occasion for the further development of the activities of JOCV.
