The Government of Japan has decided to revise the coverage of the "Procedures to Introduce Supercomputers" (the decision of the 31st meeting of the Committee for Drawing Up and Promoting the Action Program on 25 April 2000 (final revision)) partially, as outlined herein. |
Partial Revision of the Procedures to Introduce Supercomputers |
1. | The theoretical peak ratings threshold of "100 billion floating point operations per second (GIGAFLOPS) and over" is to be raised to "1.5 trillion floating point operations per second (TERAFLOPS) and over." |
2. | The revisions will become effective on 1 May 2005. |
