Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held a meeting of the Intellectual Property Strategy Headquarters at the Prime Minister's Office.
During the meeting, discussions took place on the outline of the Intellectual Property Strategic Program 2010, among other topics.
In his address, Prime Minister Hatoyama said, "I extend my sincere appreciation for your discussions and approval of the outline of the Intellectual Property Strategic Program 2010. Japan is a nation with great intellectual properties. We should utilize them even more strategically. I believe the outline of the program was compiled with the resolve to improve further the framework for intellectual properties, which has not necessarily been utilized strategically."
