Producer of Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Song
Pays Courtesy Call on Prime Minister
Tetsuya Komuro, producer of the Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Song compact disc, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi at the Prime Minister's Official Residence and presented him with the CD. The Prime Minister, who heads the government's Headquarters for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Drug Abuse, asked Komuro, who has a wide following among young people, to spearhead the campaign. Komuro, Takashi Utsunomiya, and Naoto Kine of TM NETWORK sing the Japanese version of the campaign song,"Happiness x 3 Loneliness x 3." Chinese, English, and Spanish versions of the song are also produced. All proceeds from the CDs are to be donated to the Drug Abuse Prevention Center and the United Nations Drug Control Programme.
