As the call took place immediately after the U.S.-China summit meeting, would you tell us what kind of explanation you received from President Trump and what you conveyed to him during the conversation?
In addition, the White House released a fact sheet summarizing the meeting, which states that the two leaders reflected on how the United States and China fought together as allies to achieve victory in World War II. Did President Trump provide any explanation on this point? Also, did you raise this point with President Trump? Thank you.

I have just held a telephone call with President Trump for approximately 20 minutes from 9:00 p.m.
President Trump called me immediately after President Xi Jinping’s visit to the United States and explained the latest U.S.-China summit meeting in quite a lot of detail.
During the call, President Trump and I exchanged views primarily on issues related to China, covering economic affairs, including economic security, as well as security affairs, and confirmed close coordination between Japan and the United States.
Following our summit meeting in New York on September 22, the fact that we have held two summit-level talks within the space of one week truly demonstrates the strength of the bonds of the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
I intend to continue working in close coordination with President Trump.
As for the specific details of our conversation, I will refrain from commenting, as they concern diplomatic exchanges. However, with regard to the latter point you raised, I told President Trump that Japan and the United States have now become each other’s most trusted allies, and we confirmed that together we will contribute to peace and stability in the region and the world. That is all.
