September 19, 1995 Cabinet Decision December 26, 2000 Partial Amendment 1. | In light of the difficult situation surrounding firearms recently, the Headquarters for the Promotion of Measures Against Firearms (hereinafter referred to as "the Headquarters") shall be established inside the Cabinet in order to secure close coordination among the administrative agencies concerned while promoting strict regulation of firearms, publicity and educational campaigns that seek public understanding and cooperation and other comprehensive and active measures. | 2. | The Headquarters consist of the following members.
