| 1. | The Committee for Drawing Up and Promoting the Action Program (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") shall be established inside the Cabinet to take on, for an extended duration, the functions of the Committee for Drawing Up and Promoting the Action Program (hereinafter referred to as "the former Committee") heretofore established inside the Government-Ruling Parties Joint Headquarters for the Promotion of External Economic Measures (Government-Ruling Parties Joint Headquarters for the Promotion of External Economic Measures decision, July 30, 1985). |
| 2. | The Committee, based on "Implementation Status and Future Management of the Action Program" (The Committee for Drawing Up and Promoting the Action Program, August 4, 1988), shall conduct follow-ups on the Action Program in the areas of criteria and certification, import process, government procurement, etc. |
| 3. | The Committee shall consist of the Chief Cabinet Secretary as Chair, the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary (Administrative) and Vice-Minister of the Cabinet Office as Deputy Chairs, and all other Vice-Ministers, Director-General of the National Police Agency and Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency as members. The functions, operations and other tasks concerned of the Committee shall be in line with those of the former Committee. |
| 4. | It shall be assumed that the items decided upon by the former Committee from August 9, 1993 until the establishment of the Committee were passed on to the latter. |
