Based on the three items instructed on December 19:

1. Continue to strengthen information gathering relating to unfolding events in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and take thorough steps in preparation for contingencies.
   
   
2. Be particularly prepared following the end of the mourning period on December 29 in the DPRK and with the start of the year-end and New Year's holiday for each ministry and agency.
