All members of the Noda Cabinet resigned on December 26, 2012.

At the Cabinet meeting on the same day, Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda collected the letters of resignation from the Cabinet members and decided on the general resignation of the Cabinet. Afterward, the Prime Minister issued a statement on the general resignation of the Cabinet.

Prime Minister Noda left the Prime Minister's Office as the staff bid him farewell.
