Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda held the fourth meeting of the Headquarters for Administrative Reform Implementation at the Diet building.

At the meeting, the policy for curbing the recruitment for FY2013 and other matters was compiled.

The Prime Minister said in his opening address, "Administrative reform is an issue that we must achieve simultaneously with the comprehensive reform of the social security and taxation systems. As a part of such reform, I would like the issue concerning the very strict policy of curbing the recruitment of national civil servants to be discussed here today, and would like to make a decision on it.
I express my heartfelt gratitude for the cooperation each Cabinet member has been giving in making tough decisions until now.
Constant effort by the administration is continuously required. I would like to ask for your ongoing cooperation."
