Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda held the fourth meeting of the Government and Ruling Parties Council on the Formulation of the Budget at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the meeting, a final report was presented by the working group concerning the priority projects for the Program to Prioritize the Revival of Japan and the treatment of cross-sectoral fields for consideration.

Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said, "From Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Tsuyoshi Saito, who chairs the working group, I received as a final report a proposal concerning the selection of priority projects for the Program to Prioritize the Revival of Japan. This proposal reflects the priorities of the current administration and is extremely important for the materialization of the FY2012 budget.
From now on, based on this proposal, I would like the Minister of Finance to formulate a precise allocation plan for the budget concerning the Program to Prioritize the Revival of Japan, and report the result to the Government and Ruling Parties Council in the course of the budget formulation.
The next meeting will discuss the allocation plan to be presented by the Minister of Finance, and I will make the final decision myself."
