On October 12, Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attended a radio recording at the Prime Minister's Office for a nationwide TBS Radio program called, "Policy Updates from the Prime Minister's Office." In the program, the Prime Minister directly answers ten questions TBS Radio staff gather from the public through on-the-street interviews.
The questions concerned the topics of "reconstruction," "consumption tax," "the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)," "joblessness," "the daily lives of the elderly," "education," "marital life," "breakfast," "casual fashion," and "leadership." The program will be broadcasted on October 17 (except in certain regions where it will be broadcasted on October 18).
