Congratulations on your victory Ms. Kobayashi.
I am delighted that this is the first gold medal of the Turin Games for Japan. I was moved seeing you give your all as you crossed the finished line. Also, congratulations Ms. Ota on your bronze medal and Ms. Obinata on your silver medal. I hope your outstanding performances will become a springboard for the success of Japanese athletes from here on.
