Congratulatory Message by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on the Awarding of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry To Professor Ryoji Noyori of Nagoya University

Professor Ryoji Noyori of Nagoya University was awarded this year's Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He is the tenth Japanese national to win a Nobel Prize. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to him on receiving this award.

This award shows that the distinguished research conducted by Professor Noyori has been recognized at a global level.

I look forward to seeing Professor Noyori continue his work and achieve even greater results.

Encouraged by this award, I intend to make even greater efforts toward the goal of making Japan a nation that is built through the promotion of science and technology.
