The Second Meeting of the Headquarters for the Regional Revitalization Friday, December 19, 2003 The second meeting of the Headquarters for the Regional Revitalization was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the meeting, decision was made on the "Basic Guidelines for the Promotion of Regional Revitalization." These Basic Guidelines outline the basic concept and the policies on the efforts for regional revitalization and its schedule so as to strengthen the flow of the structural reform under the policies of "from the State to the localities" and "from public sector to private sector," and realize a "sustainable regional revitalization." This Headquarters will receive suggestions and requests from local governments, private business establishments and others, and decide on the national assistance measures as a program by the end of February.
