The ninth meeting of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy (CEFP) was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the meeting plans were tabled for basic guidelines (draft index) for future economic and fiscal management and economic structural reform. By the end of June it is envisaged that a solid policy framework will be compiled in a report. The basic policies that are being worked on incorporate seven reform programs for structural reform:

1) Program of privatization and regulatory reform;
2) Program to support challengers;
3) Program for the strengthening of insurance functions;
4) Program to create a country rich in human resources;
5) Program to build a revitalized national lifestyle;
6) Program for creating autonomous and vitalized local government; and
7) Program to correct inflexibility and rigidity.
