Prime Minister Naoto Kan received a request from the Council for Promotion of Dezoning and Reutilization of Military Land in Okinawa at the Prime Minister's Office.

There was a request concerning the resolution of various issues that arise from military bases. A letter of request was handed to the Prime Minister from Mr. Hirokazu Nakaima (Governor of Okinawa Prefecture), the Chair of the Council.
