Prime Minister Naoto Kan delivered an address at the 15th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Women Leaders Network (WLN) Meeting held in Tokyo.

The APEC WLN comprises women leaders in all sectors, including business, academia, government, and civil society, from the 21 APEC economies (countries and regions). A WLN meeting is held every year, hosted by the APEC chair of the year, for the purpose of contributing to the development of economic activities of women in order to realize a gender-equal society.
