The representatives of political parties posed their questions on the policy speech at the plenary session of the House of Representatives. In answering the question on his resolve to implement the Democratic Party of Japan's (DPJ) Manifesto, Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said, "The Manifesto is a contract with the people for the next four years. Therefore, I will implement it by all means." The Prime Minister also answered questions on the policy of revising the execution of the supplementary budget, formulation of the budget for the next fiscal year, economic countermeasures, growth strategy, and the issue of global warming, among other matters.
