Prime Minister Taro Aso received a courtesy call from Mr. Sadaharu Oh, Baseball Ambassador, at the Prime Minister's Office.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commissioned Mr. Oh as a Baseball Ambassador, with a view to promoting friendship and goodwill through baseball with countries such as the United States and Asian nations.

Prime Minister Aso and Ambassador Oh enjoyed talks on topics such as how Team Japan is preparing for the first qualifying round of the World Baseball Classic, an international baseball tournament.
