Prime Minister Taro Aso visited a major household goods store in Tokyo, which has developed a unique personnel system and employment contract system as part of its employment measures.

The company abolished the classification of regular employees, contract employees, and part-time employees, and introduced open-ended contracts for employees who had previously been classified as part-time and contract ones. It is actively recruiting talented employees who have substantial records of achievement for the posts of sales floor manager and store/company chief. After receiving an explanation from a senior company official on their new personnel system, Prime Minister Aso exchanged opinions with employees.
