Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a meeting with His Majesty Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged opinions about peace in the Middle East as well as situations in the region, including Iran and Iraq. They confirmed their intention to cooperate toward peace in the Middle East and agreed to make joint efforts in promoting the concept for creating the Corridor of Peace and Prosperity.

At a luncheon held afterwards, the two leaders agreed to work together on issues including bilateral economic relations, North Korea issues and United Nations reform.
